We’ve adopted a Sheprador (German Shepherd/Labrador Mix) and I am going to attempt to train him as a therapy/service dog for myself. I am disabled and am a fall risk. I am going to try to teach my new pup to help me. Wish me luck. I haven’t done this in years. My previous dog passed in late October. We’ve named our new buddy Doug. Doug is extremely smart. I’ve worked with him on some doggy puzzles and he eats his food off of a snuffle mat. He has mastered both of these. I am sure some of the commands that I will use are not universal but I used these with my last rescue/companion dog Rexi. She was AMAZING.
