I had a Rottie, an amazing dog! She was the sweetest and smartest dog I have had. I did not need a leash with her, she stayed always by my side unless she was told differently. Great with kids, and gentle with other animals. I miss my girl ❤️

I couldn’t agree more! We got one Rottweiler after careful consideration. She was so amazing we took another that the owner needed to “rehome” (😢) - they are BFF’s. Best decision ever. I couldn’t be more proud

I absolutely agree. My cousin got one as her first dog and ended up having to give him away.

what i hate about the rottweiler - as someone that has had them for 39 years - is how everybody else panics when they see them and how so many people behave as if theyre a vicious dog. Ive spent many many days watching people shun my dogs in parks and on walks and it always feels like my boys are being bullied, because they are the gentlest, calmest, and friendliest dogs if socialised and trained properly.

Exactly they are a MAGNIFICENT dog to have as a family pet, k-9, farm dog, ect. IF you you TRAIN them right

So true. I approach them with confidence and friendly emotions and they are always wonderful. Even cats hate it when you have fear and come near them.

You make me smile! As a child I had a German shepherd and he would “walk beautifully “, I now have a Spanador, 8 months, full of energy. Yes she will stop mid run on command. Come at a whistle. BUT is hel/awful on a ,lead leaving the house. Think part of it (even though full range of garden) she s bursting and only middle of a field will do! Would be so old for suggestions

I've been owned by, shown, and trained rotties since 1989. They are prone to guarding and protecting. A well-bred rottie is NOT indiscriminately aggressive. Other people are indiscriminately ill-informed about them. When well-bred, they ARE intelligent, independently think for themselves, very trainable, protective and the biggest and most loving clowns of any breed I know...and I was a ver tech for 20 years. They love you hard and forever and will do anything to get a laugh out of you.

Exactly right. These are NOT for inexperienced owners. They are amazing, beautiful, wonderful and highly intelligent. They will absolutely run the house if not properly trained and exercised. Don’t even consider for a second that they won’t.

You know how I feel about Rotties. As a previous owner of a 125lb female (was my favorite by far), I can confirm all these facts are true

Female Rottweilers are nothing like that I have 2 of them and they aren’t aggressive or hostile there very good girls and don’t snap when I take their bone from them or anything else

Whilz it applies more to breeds like the rottweiller (familly has had rottweillers forever) this applies and should apply to every single dog. Every single dog should be trained properly.
