✰ About Me ✰
My name is Zara Beth (zeezee25 on tiktok) and I post videos about disability, neurodiversity and living with Tourette's Syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Orthostatic Hypotension. Tourette's syndrome is a neurological condition causing involuntary movements called tics.
I use my social media (TikTok, YouTube & Instagram) to advocate and raise awareness for my conditions and share what it's like living as a neurodivergent and disabled person. I am autistic, sharing my sensory struggles along with my experiences with mental health disorders.
I share the accommodations I use to help my daily life, and I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user documenting my life using mobility aids and how chronic illness symptoms vary from day to day!
I'm a musician with a song called "She's Mine" available on all streaming platforms, and I'm an artist with a small business and website selling my artwork, disability merch. I also love reading, writing, and I'm currently writing a novel and a book/memoir about my l

I’ve had tics since elementary school, but I was taught suppression. It sucks because sometimes that can be just as painful as the tic itself!

My daughter is 10 years old and she has tourettes. I had to pull her into homeschool because her IEP wasn’t being honored. A board member of the tourettes association of America literally sat in as an advocate for me during an IEP meeting at my daughters old school where they argued that because they didn’t see her tics she didn’t have them. When in reality she grew very good at surpressing them. This year she began writing on her own. In homeschool we did guitar and art and fun things to build up dexterity and Saturday she has her first guitar recital and people may scoff at how she sounds. But I’m going to cry because at the beginning of this school year that little girl could not write and has worked so hard to get here. 💗🦋 she has tourettes but tourettes does not have he

It's sad to think there's an enormous number of people who think all this is done for attention

Thanks to sharing about how it affects you! I think it’s hard for people to understand how someone feels when they don’t understand what’s happening so thanks for explaining!

A friend of mine has tourettes and, whilst his tics are almost gone now due to less stress, if he has verbal tics when in public, someone with him will say something like "gotta love tourettes" cos people stop staring if they hear that. It sucks that it's needed to make him feel safe and to stop people being visibly bothered

My dad has it. He is 60. Tourette’s isn’t what you see 99% of the time online ..

Thank you! I have tics bc of anxiety, and I have panic attacks daily. Everyone in my class calls me a furry bc of my meowing tic.

Thank you! I have Tourettes in secondary school and it is SO hard! People look at me weirdly all the time and I'm already not a confident person. Please don't laugh AT people with Tourettes unless you can laugh WITH them.

I don’t have a Tourette’s diagnosis, but I have tics, and this made me cry ❤ one of my tics is rolling my eyes and aggressively shaking my head and I have to explain to people that I’m not trying to be rude, and that it’s involuntary. I’m also still in school, which can be stressful, and stress increases tics, which make it harder to do the schoolwork. It’s a vicious cycle. Thank you for spreading awareness about this ❤❤

Maybe you can make a YouTube short about how some people can walk, but have muscular problems so they can only walk for a while without being exhausted. Lots of people think that being disabled is being 100% wheel chair bound when its not.

I don't have tourette's, but I do have tics. I've had them since high school (I'm 28 now), and I didn't realize my tics were tics until I told someone with tourette's about them. I felt so validated, because until then, I thought it was just some weird thing I do.

I just got diagnosed with FND, and I feel like my life is falling apart. Seeing you existing with the disorder and living a full happy life gives me a lot of hope ❤

I have diagnosed Tourette’s but a lot of the time it’s not shown because most of them are just my muscles tensing up and small twitches. It’s really painful and hard To move a limb where it’s tensed and just to show how much it happens I just had my arm tense twice while writing this out

So I saw a fight break out in my school and to be honest not saying I support fighting but in this case I would’ve done the same thing,

Theirs a kid in our school whose super super sweet, she has Tourette’s and one of her ticks was kind of a yipping/barking noise almost like a small dog. Well we were walking to grab some breakfast at school when she got this tick like super bad. We were both kinda light hearted laughing about it when these girls behind us broke out into laughter and my friend noticed this and her ticks just got like super out of control, she was saying like swears and hitting herself so I was trying to calm her down bc we were close to the cafeteria and one of the girls goes, “does the puppy want a treat?? Yip for a treat!” And bc my friend couldn’t control what she was saying she made the noise again, and the girls busted out laughing once more. Then this kid who was walking beside me and my friend literally turned around and full forced punched the girl who said that in the face, a huge fight broke out and we had to go to the principals office for questioning and stuff but yeah

There’s a great guy from Galashiels named John who got an mbe for his work on educating about Tourette’s, the thing is he’s hilarious anyway so his tics are also just comedy. Lovely lad 😊
