I have lost interest mostly in crackers, but I remember how much joy it gave us as children. Nowadays, I just consciously spend 30 minutes during Diwali bursting crackers just for the environmentalists

Well as a 80’s kid we used to wait for diwali for bursting crackers and next day search for unexploded crackers in the street. But now i have seen very unwanted and dangerous crackers and bombs in the market, people are also not sociable like they dont celebrate socially but everyone celebrates individually at their homes, people have become selfish, egoistic and the value of human relationship, love and caring has gone. Diwali has become a commercial festival and peole just celebrate it for the sake of clicking some pictures and posting it

The issue is so many people bursting firecrackers at same time. Bursting firecrackers can be stopped. Going to work to help economy and yourself and usi g public transport for that is not a bad thing. Also, firecrackers were never a part of Sanatan Dharma. Going to work in public transport is not harming anyone. But Firecrackers harm environment, innocent mute animals, hurts the ears of elderly, in a way it is violence, and Sanatan Dharma never teaches violence. Firecrackers originated in China NOT Bharat! If you fant deny kids firecrackers teach them good things now, so that they never ask or want those, its called good parenting, to create a better tomorrow for everyone.

Where in from its not about pollution its about the harm it does to animals and elderly people and babies and it about big explosive sound and vibration of some of them like fireworks and scratch bombs. Some people cause fires with fireworks without proper supervision.

Government should accommodate those people with breathing difficulties in forest guest house till the festival season is over. Problem solved. Sadhguru’s ashram can also be used for this.
