9 Killed After Bridge Falls in Gujarat, Vehicles Crash Into River

A tragic incident occurred in Gujarat’s Vadodara district where a part of the Gambhira Bridge, linking Vadodara and Anand, broke and fell. At least nine people died, and nine others were pulled out alive after the collapse. Early updates say that around five vehicles fell into the Mahisagar River when one section of the 900-meter-long bridge gave way.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said the event was heartbreaking and promised that rescue work is going on with full force. Minister Rishikesh Patel also said that an investigation has started and help is being provided to those affected. Local teams, NDRF members, and emergency workers are still trying to find and rescue any missing people.
