It wasn't a mass die off. His collection is a jumbled pile because the area he dug them up in was a lake back then. These are river washed bones from a very long period, its the same reason there's so much gold there, the rivers washed it in, it sank and the sediment built up on top.

Same as death valley in calif. there is a canyon where there are millions of diffrent dino bones . you can dig them up. It like they were all swept there or hearded there and killed .

It was a flood....The big one. The animals skeletons have all signs of drowning The way their heads are all bent backwards. It hit out of no where as they were grazing.
