The best rebuttal to that could've been "Hey Andy, I last saw that car this morning and a co-worker of mine had a customer looking at it, I know time is precious to you as it is to me, so let me go check and make sure I can laid my hands on it and make sure is in stock so I don't waste your time and get back with you. How's that sound?

You were very generous in saying ā€œThank You Buddyā€ he wasted his and customerā€™s time. Even when the customer took time to go through website then call. CUSTOMER WENT THE EXTRA STEP!!! WHY IS THE SALES GUY NOT GOINGS LEAPS AND BOUNDS TO MAKE THE SALE HAPPEN!! Big loss to that dealership unfortunately, very sad šŸ˜ž

Itā€™s crazy the stigma in sales. I work and sales and have been fairly successful only because I do my best to treat the customer well. But when Iā€™m not at work I would want someone to treat me how I treat customers. People pay money for services just do your damn job. Donā€™t act like you care, just care until you clock out. I work in high ticket financial sales now but even at my restaurant job I tried to care to at least the customers. I never leave comments I just think people have to change their mentality to sales.

My brother in law was a car salesman for awhile. Another reason he said they do that is because it opens up for them to pitch you on the car they want to sell you, like one that has been on the lot for awhile. In my younger days, I actually got conned into taking the car the dealer wanted to sell me instead of the one I came in to look at.

This exact thing happened to me at a local Chevy dealership and now it makes sense. Left because I valued my time. Got a call back from the manager behind the door, came back with him directly, and used the sales persons unpreparedness to get an excellent price. Until this video I thought maybe this was a tactic to induce the feeling of scarcity to create urgency to buy.

As soon as a car hits inventory it gets put online with the standard pictures. If it hasnt gone through recon it could be wholesaled, take a week to get done, etc. The salesman handled it wrong but not knowing isnt entirely his fault.

I had a dealership tell me that they couldnā€™t sell me a car if I didnā€™t use their financing. The reason being was that they get a kickback when they use the brands financing.

I walked the dealership everyday. Called a trade walk. Our company put every car on the website immediately even before inspection. Itā€™s impossible to know whether or not the car passes safety inspection

I have bought 3 cars in my lifetime so far and while looking around and trying to find the best deal no dealership ever ever wanted to talk business unless you go . Most people that call donā€™t mean business .

I use to sell used cars. It could be a pain sometimes because they wholesale the car or they take it for detailing there are many reasons why the car is not in our lot. In my case I had to drive to another lot to see if the car is available.
