OK, but you left out the difference of the wear pattern between a rough hone and a smooth hone I’d like to know how the ceiling worked with a smooth home and the coated ring. I’ve said for years from brake rotors to cylinder walls if the cylinder wall looks like glass in your compression is 165 psi There’s got to be more to the story same as a rotor when it wears in it’s shiny like a glass finish yet. The brakes will stop the car zero60 very quickly. I’ve always believed that a smoother finish is better than a rough cut finish.
