Due to Weyerhauser's Pine plantations....we have to go "over the mountain" (local term for going north towards Ft Smith) to see the fall colors. Or south across the Red River into Texas. Here it's just ol' loblolly pine with a few oaks and sweet gum.Bois de arc, black locust & black walnuts McCurtain Co. Is the largest county in Oklahoma with several different landscapes.
From flat river bottoms on soft praries(towards Texas), and to the north ,one of the oldest mountain ranges in America, the Kiamichi (Choctaw word for the woodpecker, or big loud bird)
Another great video Stan! πŸ€™

I truly wish I was home. I've been stuck in North Carolina for the last 15 years due to the cost of living. Not because I think that North Carolina is such a great place to be although it does have its moments. Unfortunately, Autumn isn't one of them.
