Every game wonāt be the same. Every game brings influence from one game to another. Every game is trying to do something new, different, or old. Whether turn based, action, open world, first person every game sets a standard for itself. Who would have thought Pokemon or Final Fantasy or any old/classical game would still be around and trying new stuff. Gaming has no limitations. We as consumers have to trust the process. Also, gaming companies need to listen more and see what the consumers want as well. āBalanceā

I like both the action and turn based Final Fantasys. I just want em to mix it up every once in a while. 5, 9, 10, 12, 7R, 16 are vastly different games in terms of gameplay but are all have what makes final fantasy what it is. All great games despite being at different spots on the turn based<>action spectrum. The Xeno series actually got more popular following the transition to action so it's not always a bad thing.

My opinion and this is what most of the Instagram Final Fantasy community has been saying since Iāve been a part of the fandom for half of my life now, I donāt care what battle system a FF game goes with, turn based/action based it doesnāt matter, I just want a game that has a beautiful story with well written characters because thatās been the heart and soul of the series

Pokemon sells cause its Pokemon. Turnbase is not as popular compared to action. Its old caveman style of gameplay.

Its so strange the attachment to a brand. There are so many turn based rpgs that no one would bat an eye if it was called ff but because it isnt theyād rather pick a game from the brand and say its not turn based rar. To me ff16 has 0 elements from the ps1 days of ff to have me even remotely interested but thats fineāgames that do:exist,are cheaper, and there are SEVERAL

I feel like the problem isnt that people are saying 'a turn-based FF would be bad'. You also have the ridiculous side saying that 'FF16 is not a FF game because its an ARPG'. FF is that IP where almost no mainline titles feel like another mainline FF. I dont think there is a reason for there to be separate productions of a turn-based FF game, unless you want spin-offs.
We just have to understand that FF mainline games are going to be different from one to the other.

I love to see you use footage from Final Fantasy XIII! I love this game and the soundtrack and it is definitely a breath of fresh air from too many open world games.
