Why is the mix so dry ? Just curious because I've seen porcelain laid on a much wetter mix which will allow you to tap the slab down and you know the whole slab is in contact with the cement. Is that 4/1 ? Looks like 4" depth of cement? I thought the normal process is 4" hardcore, 1" cement with 1" tile. Total dig depth of 6". I only ask because i want to do a patio myself. Thanks
