they have these at gas stations - called fleet cards in canada. you get a code you can enter at most gas stations to pay.
Just isnt used by most people becuase they usually just have their wallet with them since they need thier license to drive, then just tap... if not cash, apple pay...

in Australia you don't pay at the pump, you pump your petrol and than you pay inside, and most petrol stations give you a card for the specific station so no need for a credit card

I once gave my watch as a colleteral and another time my car registration and you know filling up a DIESEL takes less then 5 minutes😂😂😂😂 you never have to wait and there are always plenty of Diesel pumps around and a full tank is 1000+ kilometers EASILY
And after all these years.....my Alfa 159 Diesel is still a stunning looking car ❤

In Russia, if we forgot our wallet at home, we can pay with smartphone, using Mir Pay(analogue of Apple pay or GPay) or with a qr code, scanning it with bank app and paying. It works everywhere, in local shops, chargers for electric cars, gas stations etc.

I am using an app in my phone to pay for petrol or a car wash. I have an app for the petrol stations I prefer. I could use contactless as well, but it is much nicer to stay in the car and initiate the filling process from there.

you can do this at a gas station if you have their respective apps (BP me for BO stations, etc.) also how you gonna leave your wallet at home when driving, you need your license while driving, which is in your wallet (haven’t met one person whose license isn’t in their wallet)
