Three factors to keep in mind when selecting a quality clothes brush!

One: a separate handle and head; unlike cleaning shoes, you'll be covering a larger surface area when brushing your clothes, so you'll want a handle you can get a firm grip on. This makes the act of brushing your clothes easier and more ergonomically friendly. Handle-less clothes brushes do exist, but they're more of a travel-friendly option that's better for short trips or the occasional sartorial mishap.

Two: a hardwood body; there's really no substitute for a well-made wooden clothes brush, and choosing a brush made from something like beechwood will give you a nice, balanced weight as well as superb longevity.

Three: natural bristles; horsehair bristles are the go-to when it comes to clothes brushes, because they're a natural fiber with the perfect flexibility to get dirt out of your clothes without damaging the clothes themselves. Boar-hair bristles are also available, often being mixed with horsehair for increased stability. Boar bristles are tougher, stiffer hairs than horse hairs, and they perform better for harder-wearing garments like tweed suits and overcoats, but you're more likely to see boar bristles used in conjunction with other hairs, because they could be too tough for some fabrics by themselves.

Boar bristles are also a great option for hairbrushes, they help spread oils to keep hair properly moisturized. Its a very good product in general

I have used a very fine hardwood brush with brass bristles for years, which I have read is the gold standard.
