I love my 45-70 and my 450 bushmaster scout. Great rifles

I would call the Scout "inexpensive" or "low budget", but NEVER cheap.πŸ‘

Om guessing around 2500 and 2600 foot pounds of energy.

This load is new to me, and is a real thumper! I loaded mine with Remington 405grs. Jsp bullets at 1618 fps....
And they really kick in a 5 lbs. rifle.

I used my handloads in my Marlin lever action, and it's a lot more fun to shoot!

I'm glad that a factory has started to load the 405s up to where they belong.
I wouldn't use them in a Trapdoor.... but they're great in the Marlins!

Nice. I sometimes shoot a soft cast bullet, 410gr, paper patched in my Ruger No1 at around 1600 fps. Great woods deer load. That rifle is cool.

Love the 45-70 group. I call the energy as 1 shot and the quarry will not wanna play again! Great looking rig! Economical and budget friendly but never cheap . Cheap guns don't shoot that well.

I own two CVA V2 Scout rifles, one is in .35 Whelen and the other one is in .444 Marlin, they have excellent triggers ,excellent barrels and at a great price ! πŸ‘

CVA is much better than the faulty Rossi .350 Legend you shot recently. Definitely worth the extra bucksπŸ’΅

The picatinny rail on mine was just snugged down and had a lot of oil under it. I cleaned it with alcohol and applied blue lock tight with 30 in lbs of torque.

Did smokeless muzzleloader conversion on CVA 45/70 zero'd for 175yds and shot 1.2 inch group, under 1 inch at 100. I'd say it would be at 175 probably just me but the ol scouts shoot lights out!
