Safety Tools in the DMG? I can the Dexter Grognards revving up their troll engines already! (Hmm, Troll Engine....that gives me ideas....). To be clear, I am 1000% in favor of safety tools - I am glad they are in there!

I've been so excited for the DMG so much. I've been telling my friends that I'm gonna read it cover to cover.
I've been a DM for years, but I've always felt like I lacked a lot of confidence in myself. I'm really hoping this book helps me find some. Based on your and other people's reviews, i think this could be exactly what I've been looking for.

I'm sure there's some good stuff in there, but one thing 5e doesn't need more of is ways for the players to cheat death.
The game already plays like a fucking marvel movie.

Does it fix 5e for you, too? I'm still not buying it. Look at the dungeon dudes, or get the lazy dm guide before thinking about buying it. Maybe I'm just bitter because I read the old 5e dmg cover to cover. 🎉❤😢

The only demographic I can think of that shouldn't reasonably be able to handle character death would be...children? And I don't play with children anymore, but wouldn't dnd be the exact right tool for introducing them to the concept?
