"Don't forget light" was the most important step. I lost so many magnetic lights. 😂

Yea with auto slacks, if they aren't adjusting, you're required to replace them. You're not supposed to readjust and just keep going.

That's also part of a pre trip inspection that the driver missed. If that truck was to get a level 1 inspection the officer would probably place it out of service until a mobile mechanic fixed it.

I’d probably recommend looking at all the other slacks to make sure they have their pins and cotters in them if this ones came out, probably a good brake adjust too for everything

The slack adjuster had no more slack to give.

In my experience those meritors are the best long lasting auto slacks, first hand experience with 12 trucks and 25 trailers 😎

Huh, first time it wasn't the customers fault/dum decisions, just actually something that broke

Confused why caging was necessary

Simply removing the clevis and pins and can adjust the slack adjuster with ratchets as you did after caging it

Anyone else notice that he didn't cage the brake chamber? All he did was put the caging bolt in. Those brakes aren't adjusted properly.

"Brake lining looks good..."

"Replace brakes due to being unevenly worn..."

Excuse me, what?

My experience tells me that the customer won’t be back for the rear brake repair.
