I wish we’d stop giving cross breed dogs stupid, cutesy names. A fair few people would ignore all the info you’ve provided and buy one because the ‘breed’ name sounds fun and cool. Thanks for the sane, level headed info, as always 👍

I see a lot of people getting a dog based only on a certain look or breed name and so many times I have seen it go bad. People need to understand what breed they are really wanting. Like with my current dog Bella I knew I wanted another Mastador. I’m in a wheelchair and she is big enough to help pull me up hills and LOVES going out in public with me. Or I can take her to play with my niece and nephews being 100 percent confident that she will play gently with them. I also understood what breed I was getting. They grow very fast. Knowing that I set the ground rules for her immediately and she quickly learned the rules. Now has bonded to me so much that she really is my shadow. I joke that I started out with a puppy and ended up with a stalker and honestly I wouldn’t want it any other way

Crazy that people get big money for mixed breeds. There is a reason for kennel clubs, shows and breeds that are recognized by them. It keeps breeders accountable to a higher standard. Health, confirmation, temperament and care are all taken into account. That is what deserves a higher price.

Sounds like double to fun- so long as you know what to expect. At least the trend for crossbreeds is helping avoid a lot of health problems of purebred.

I have a brindle boxador female that I found on the side of the road. She is 100 percent good girl, I love her.

Same with Oodles in Australia. People go on and on about how their Spoodle/cavoodke/Labradoodle does not shed, but then whinge about the dogs energy level and poor trainability. I take my beautiful Cavalier spaniels home and brish them and vacuum up their loose hair, but then we're done. Lol, we are best friends with a gorgeous Oodle who might be energetic but very well trained and loving, so...yeah.

The energy levels must be off the charts with that mix! My dog loves playing with Boxers and Labs because they bounce around with her but as a Frenchie she gets tired faster 😂

I had a lab/boxer mix eons ago, back when it wasn't "a thing" but back when it would have been considered a "mutt" mix breed. Loved him, he was a great dog and companion

I wish we'd stop with the designer breeds. People spent centuries perfecting breeds. You don't improve them by mixing them. Mutts are great, but marketing them as designer isn't good for anyone.
