My newborn has a rare genetic disorder called Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, which causes a lot of the same symptoms. I know weβre in for a rough road, but sheβs still my perfect little miracle and Iβm lucky to be her parent.

Our son has all of the same diagnoses basically and come to find out his genetic disorder was finally diagnosed to be KIF 11 and it is still being investigated in the genetic field because not much is known about the disorder but at least we have an umbrella diagnosis now that makes sense of all of the other symptoms and diagnoses that our son has. From the very beginning as parents we knew there had to be a larger explanation for all of the things that were going on with our son but the diagnosis came with a lot more questions too!

I understand your pain and feel your love. It is a lifetime job of parenting and the fears for her future always lingers with you (my child is on the spectrum as well) and the love you have for your child. Stay strong. I don't know your religious beliefs but keep the faith.
