tbf, Vegeta says he is a noble while Nappa says is is a warrior of the nobility. the two arent really the same, or at least how i interpret the wording of it,. essentially, under that wording it just means nappa is a warrior for the nobles e.i vegeta. granted, that could be from my personal bias because i know he is a prince
and besides, adding further context to something isnt a retcon. people like to say that goku being an alien is a retcon because it wasnt originally said, no akira toriyama gave him an ambiguous backstory of being found in the woods, even roshi mentions this way before Z even starts
