Lots of manufacturers use this Subaru had ACC since about 2013 and lane keep assist in 2020. Earlier models had lane departure warning instead.

When automatic braking is mandatory crime will surge because criminals will know they can easily force you to stop with a simple object in the road. Jaywalking will increase 1000 fold, everyone knows the car won't allow you to hit them so they walk right out when they feel like it.

I'd love to see how adaptive it is againt another driver that feels you have no rite to be inatentive to what you should be doing,, like DRIVING YOUR CAR. let me see you on your phone while in heavy traffic, I will test the technology.

I’m a trucker and the trucks I’ve driven since about 2017 have had Active Cruise Control and it is excellent. I want to see more passenger cars be equipped with it!
