I believe there are certain fungi who use pheromones to attract certain animals like deer to pick up spores on their coats and take the spores elsewhere. I think I read this out of the book mycelium running but it’s been a while so it’s hard to remember the details. there is some evidence for fungi and mammal communication in that though. Fungi albeit being closer to mammals genetically than plants.
I know many shamanistic cultures claim to speak to plants especially those who use entheogenic plants. I know the discovery of the 5-meo dmt inhibitor is in ancient small tribes is a mystery to this day. Some point to the transference of knowledge from ancient civilizations. Others more closely related to the cultures and traditions say the plants themselves told them. Some stories like the ones told by the Yanomami tribe as recorded by Michael Stuart Ani say they took the prince of plants the sacred mushrooms of the region and gained insight into plants from that way.
Some researchers into psychedelic mushrooms believe that since humans perceive the world through symbols that the patterns and symbolic nature of the experience of entheogenic plants is an attempt by nature to communicate with us and bring us into our niche, much like how animals perceive in a major way through scents and those other fungi direct them into their niche.l we require a symbolic experience to move us into our niche. This does somewhat align with the common experience of gaining respect for nature that often comes out of entheogenic experiences.
I have no clue what’s true or not, but I find it to be a fascinating subject none the less. Which is why I can entertain some more fantastical theories. Lots of people don’t realize you don’t have to buy into things or believe them to entertain them and prod them to find what’s true or not. That’s the open minded skeptic which is exactly what you are and why I always am so quick to click onto any new videos from you!

i found out about this about a year ago and wasnt surprised at all they communicate... I was however surprised it was an actual sound outside of our of our hearing range... I had a good time leaving comments to angry vegans that id see in the comments section... obviously they didn't believe me but i did post a link a couple times to where i heard it originally but still got comments saying it was fake...

As far as an open dialogue no , but definitely communicate in the sense that we can figure out exactly what they need when they need it causing them to produce higher yields along with lower the need for as many harmful chemicals. Considering this is all in its infancy, I'm sure there's quite a number of problems that we didn't even know we had or solutions to problems that we would have never thought were correlated. I live for this type of s***.
