How do you take the first step?
We start with saying, “I can’t”
Or as Step One says, “We admitted we were powerless over our deepest problems—that our lives had become unmanageable.”
Admitting we need help places us on the threshold of grace.
Because when we admit we can’t, we make space for God to do the work only He can do.
Paul knew this struggle. In Romans 7, he confessed that he wanted to do the right thing but kept doing the wrong thing. But he found his answer in Jesus.
That’s where we find our answer, too.
