Truthfully I don’t understand the craze that happened for Critical mode. Considering we didn’t get critical mode in the US for KH2 for 8 years after the initial release, having to wait 3 months is not a bad thing. I get that it’s wanted and it’s always my go to difficulty to play in, but first release doesn’t NEED it. It would make everything simpler to appease the fans if it was on release but I would have rather had the game released in January than to not have the game at all until April because they are still building critical mode.

When you think about it though, it was kind of a good thing Critical Mode wasn't at launch. Why? Because they listened to the gamers and what they said they liked and didn't like and then put that into Critical Mode when they released it. We got the ability to turn off the attraction rides. We have keyblade transformations appear more often. And the other Critical Mode abilities are what fans asked for. So kh3 Critical Mode was essentially the brain child of those who played the game and wanted it harder. Especially when the Hard and EZ modes came in as well.

I agree but they should hundred percent make it the same difficulty, if not a little harder then kh3, kh3 critical mode is perfectly challenging, it’s by far one of the most challenging video game achievements I’ve been working on, while taking a while and being incredibly annoying is still extremely fun.

Imo KH3 didn’t feel like a KH game to me. Just felt like a disney joy ride until the late middle to ending of the game. There were cool moments and smooth combat mechanics but they didn’t really grab my attention. I miss the drive forms and the final fantasy aspect of what kh is as a whole. It’s not just Disney fantasy it’s final fantasy too! Its like the parents split and Disney getting the kids and making them bland lol I was disappointed by the game and yeah the fact i had to WAIT FOR CRITICAL MODE IS A SIN

Sora’s frame data on release was absolutely awful. His combos were slow and near impossible to interrupt, his defensive options in the air were horrible for how floaty he is, it was a gigantic mess. The Remind update made the combat a LOT better, even without the new combo tools, but it shouldn’t have released in such a broken state to begin with.

I actually disagree for the sole reason that every game that launched with Critical mode at the start has been absolutely awful in terms of balancing. But the two games that added it after the developers saw how fans played the base game on Proud and what they wanted from it were the only enjoyable versions of Critical mode. That could just be because those two games were just already better designed anyway, but I'm pretty sure if KH3 launched with Critical it would be identical to 0.2s with nothing to make it actually fun.

When I first played I played it all on beginner. This was back when I was a kid and if a game was too hard I'd ask my mom to drive me back to GameStop and exchange my game (back when GameStop was cool lol) but now that I'm older and I got over a decade of gaming because I started playing kh around 2015 when the collection came out on PS4, and now I'm heavily into challenging games and critical mode for all these games (except com) and I love the feeling of finally beating it. Really am considering playing kh4 on critical on my first run through if it comes with the base game just to really enjoy it

Critical Mode should definitely be available right off the bat on release.
