How strong is a tire repair plug ?. I carried out a tire repair using a basic tire plugging kit. I then carried out a simple test to see how much weight would be needed to pull the repair plug from the tire. The results were quite surprising !. NOTE: These kits are designed for tubeless tires and should only be used for emergency and temporary puncture repairsto get you to a tire shop to have the tire inspected and patched internally. I am only demonstrating how to use the repair kits. I am not endorsing or recommending the use of either of the kits as a replacement for a professional or permanent tire repair. everyone should have a set of these in their vehicles. Perhaps you'll STILL put on your spare quickly to get to a parking lot but once there, totally fix your tire and forget about it. I LOVE these things.

Be sure to always cut the excess off of both sides of the plug that's hanging out of tire .

That will last for the rest of the tyres life if done properly
