In my opinion the reason for this is that the oil and gas industry is not made for innovation it is a means to advance geopolitical interests.
Make no mistake, there is a lot of innovation in this sector, just not in the direction you’d want.
Instead of looking for better fuel sources, they chase higher profit margins and more access to cheap oil. Like a crack addict.
