Bumrah, literally single handily won India 2024 T20 World Cup. Without him India do not win that tournament, e.g. he took wickets that completely turned the game against Pakistan and SA in the final.ย
If that is not 100% GOAT status, then not sure what is. Struggle to think of many ODI World Cup winning teams that were so heavily reliant on one bowler's performance in a tournament...Wasim was great in 1992, but he still had lot of support in that tournament from Mustaq Ahmed, Javed and Imran khan.... same with Lee - 2003/2007 he had McGrath on fire from the other side plus Gillespie.
Bumrah also was instrumental in getting India to the 2023 ODI final...and almost got them over the line in that match too beating travis head on several occasions early in his innings before he went on to make his brilliant, match winning century.

Bro Bumrah has better economy than bret lee in both ODI and T20 and he averages nearly less than 11 compared to Lee in tests . Only format you can argue about Lee being better is ODIโs in other formats Bumrah clearly outperformed him . BTW i am huge fan of Lee ๐
