Sometimes and more often then not, having an awesome supportive nurse makes all the difference and is as important if not more important than the doctor! I say this because we spend more time with the nurses and you get more informed by them! I’ve been helped more by the nurses then I have the doctors themselves(especially in a hospital setting). 🤷🏼♀️Glad you had a nurse help you with something other than meds

I was sooooo sick from the dye!!!!!!! I was so so sick for about a month. The night of the same day of my myelogram I was shaking, dry heaving, seeing colors, diarrhea, and then couldn’t eat for days. That’s a very nice version of it! It was so awful! I also heard loud crackling noise as they injected it into my brain. My dr thought he reintroduced me to high pressure after reducing some because I had a high opening pressure. But I think the dye had to do with a big part of it. They also thought I might have had an allergic reaction. But it was terrifying. Probably one of the worse nights of my life. I almost went to the ER, but I hate the ER. Did you have a high opening pressure? Or did they check? Good luck to you with your patches! Going through all of this is a very difficult thing to go through.

One of my CT Myelograms buurrnnned so bad. I could feel it move up my spine and into my skull. But then my second one didn’t. It was so strange. I’ve had 4 now (2xCT, 1xMR and 1xNuclear) so I’m sort of used to it, but they are still sort of awful no matter what. The nuclear one was the worst though because I did 24 hour ear and nose pledgets for it which were awful, and vomiting when you can’t breathe through your nose is horrendous!
