I kinda like to think that Eurymachus somehow reminded Odysseus of Polites. (Not only the "Open Arms" part) The light tone voice, even the appearance is similar. It seems that in this part, Odysseus decided to stop and listen for a moment, thinking wether letting him live or not, until the guy said those fatal words and Odysseus was like "Not a chance."

I love this specific animatic and this specific scene where the suitor is trying to appeal to odysseus' soft side. I don't know why I like it so much, but it's my favorite part. Also, I absolutely loved epic. It was perfect.
