This drill incorporates multiple movement patterns, with static firing and shooting on the move. The ability to explode into movement and then rapidly decelerate to a speed to shoot while moving is important for those training for close quarters battle. Even if not specifically training for CQB, this drill is useful in tempering skills with speed and direction changes.
