When the vulcan started moving, why does it sounded like a T-rex roaring ?? ๐Ÿฅถ

Most certainly, followed closely by a hawker hunter blue note

sounds like the T-rex from Jurrasic park when it throttles up.

F-104 howl was cute. This used to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Incredible noise

C-5 Galaxy with the old TF-39 engines. Man, the blown eardrums were worth it to hear that thing on takeoff. Ah, memories...

I used to hear and love that sound every working day at RAF Scampton, my first posting in the services. I spent 3 years in Air Traffic Control listening to the Vulcan go full power.

Quits simply, YES! Heard the Vulcan on several occasions at Leuchars airshows and at a couple more. I say heard, felt the sound is more accurate! A truly humbling experience.

I totally love that sound! I presume only the sound of Rolls-Royce Merlin could be sweeter)

There was nothing like the physical impact of a Vulcan sweeping overhead. Sad that I will never hear and feel that again.

Ah yes, the howl of the vulcan, very few sounds top the vulcan. Truly one of the best sounds to ever hear in aviation.

I went to the east Midland aero park last weekend and they have a Vulcan. It was so amazing to see and to think they were designed and built in the 50s is just insane.

I still remember when my dad was serving at RAF St Athens in Wales and this beautiful bird was taking off. Love it. Hope she'll fly again one day fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž
