Definitely recommend starting earlier than you think you need to, nothing like getting 3/4 through a print only to have your printer randomly decide it needs to Home and ruin the entire print. That specific problem has only happened once, but the point is that even a perfectly maintained printer can sometimes fail at printing a perfectly sliced project.

Had that happen with a Banbu Labs X1C the other day and I still can't figure out why it happened, I was just going about my day, waiting for a 21 hr print to finish, when I heard a pop and a bunch of clattering; when I went to check what happened, I see that the printer has an error message about a failure to Home due to an obstruction, and the pieces that were being printed are scattered everywhere. The error logging just reiterates the same message with no explanation of why it tried to Home, and the recording also shows that it just randomly tried to Home mid-print and sent everything flying with the extruder head in the process. I then ended up having to replace the plate about an hour in after restarting because pieces were getting dragged around around on the textured PEI plate, just shy of causing a spaghetti failure.
