It didn't look great.
Tom's defense looked mediocre, it was some rockem sockem robots, what you'd expect from HW
Not what you'd expect from someone whos supposed to be the next big thing, all time great, gonna take Jones place type energy.
There's levels to this and people hate Jon so much, they don't even realize what made him so good in his prime.
Even now, I have doubts Tom beats him.

Aspinall wasn't as good as he is now so i do see him winning 9/10 times there's always a chance at heavy weight that 1 power shot connects that puts you to sleep and blaydes is a bigger guy than tom.
What i hate about the hw division is these guys alot of them just throw haymakers hoping they connect we need ppl like aspinall and jones in that division who are more technical fighters

I've seen the final two punches from a different angle, the final punch misses , but from one camera position it looks like it connects, back at the time I thought Blaydes landed a few and it didn't help that Bisping said two big punches landed early. I still think Aspinall was being a bit reckless and shouldn't rush forward as much in the rematch , Blaydes throws some nice straight punches for an mma fighter

All this is true but seems like luck played a part here more than anything. Anyone of those shots could've landed and it would've been over. Tom had a shitty gameplan. He needs to rely on footwork and lateral movement than blitzing a good counter puncher like Blaydes.
