For those who don't understand. Lebanon was occupied by Iran and Hezbollah. In the 1970s there were religious wars by the Syrian conquerors in Lebanon, civil wars against the Lebanese Christians. So the one who defended Lebanon was Israel. In the 15 years of the civil war in Lebanon, Israel helped Lebanon and fought together with it against Muslim radicals, militias from Iran, in the early days of Hezbollah.
