He was up front and totally honest. Giving her the option to decide if that is something she could deal with, or if it was a deal breaker from the first few minutes is very respectful. No need to get feelings hurt and waste time when there is an unresolvable issue. And I think she also handled it very respectfully. No insults or immediate negativity, asking genuine questions about how that effects his views of relationships.
