All Alaskan King Crabs are frozen, even precooked, unless you stay around Alaska. There are a few reasons why crabs can become mushy, not properly frozen or thawed, the crab was overcooked be it in the pre cooking process, actual cooking or reheating or the crab being a buster crab, meaning the crab was caught during it's molting process where it's meat is not fully formed.
