This blue marlin in Hintze Hall is one of the largest Museum specimens preserved whole in fluid 🐟

These giant fish are typically found in the tropical and subtropical parts of the Atlantic Ocean, but in 2016 this specimen was found stranded on a beach in Pembrokeshire 😮

Sure, they might seem more cool than spooky, but wait till they start jumping around when they are 20 feet from you while you are reeling em in. (for reference there was a case where a marlin or swordfish basically jumped right at a fisherman who was reeling it in. The sharp nose went right through his neck or throat but he was fine after surgery.) (Still, a giant black missile with a knife point jumping at you like an NFL Unit seems terrifying)
