Here we gonna bake and make the super crunchy Dilkhus like Nan-Khatai: Traditional Indian Cookies Recipe | Authentic & Easy to Make!

In this video, we’ll be making Nan-Khatai, the melt-in-your-mouth Indian shortbread cookies that originated in India and have been loved for generations. With a rich, buttery texture and a hint of cardamom flavor, this recipe is both simple and delicious.

Ingredients:

Maida (white flour): 1 cup (125g)

Sooji (Rava): 1tbs

Sugar: ½ cup (100g)

Ghee/Clarified butter: ½ cup (115g)

Baking Soda: ½ tsp

Big cinnamon & Javitri powder: ¼ tsp

Almonds: As required or Chopped nuts (optional): 2 tbsp (10g)


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).


2. Combine dry ingredients and mix in ghee until you get a dough.


3. Shape the dough into small, round cookies (approx. 1.5 inch diameter).


4. Place the cookies on a baking tray, garnish with nuts, and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.


5. Let them cool and enjoy with a hot cup of tea!
