FedEx don't pay enough for drivers to play security guard of packages

Once the package is delivered, FedEx is not liable, and it can not be proved by this video alone. It's not FedEx's responsibility to detect suspicious activity, especially after the package is delivered. There is no way FedEx is liable for what the delivery person did in this situation. The driver did what he always does to deliver the package at home, and he went above and beyond by putting the package inside the door.

As a delivery driver. Drop package off take picture and go about your business. Not there to play security to packages. Not trying to get killed over customer packages. I wish people were present during delivery

Or... when it starts the guy says something to the FedEx guy so then he continues to walk to the door then explains he had to put it there to take a picture of it. That's happened to me with Amazon packages. I was telling them it's my package but they was like I have to take a picture on the property first.

Had an Amazon driver do the same two days ago. I was walking up and he put yhe package down on my porch, took a picture, then handed me the package. He didn't know if I was visiting or if I lived there. 🤷🏾

This looks like a FEDEX 's training video. What happened here is the guy asked for the package. The FEDEX driver declined to hand deliver him the package because he cannot (verify) man's I.D. so he puts the package on the porchas as trained to do. The driver could take the package back to the truck if he is suspicious of the guy. However, he does not know who the home owner is.

People think fed ex drivers in chicago (one of the most dangerous cities) are going to sit protect ya package for what? So he can get shot for not giving it up or fired for fighting the guy off? Could he be part of it? Sure but he could have also just said “fuck it im not dealing with that”
