It's Wasif, the Pharmacy Dad from iCare Pharmacy. In today's video, I dive into my personal experience with gentle parenting and what happened when my toddler started pushing the limits. Gentle parenting focuses on empathy, respect, and understanding situations from your child's point of view. But to be honest, it wasn't the best fit for me and my little guy.

My son loves to test boundaries just to see what he can get away with—and that's okay! However, I noticed that when I used a more gentle approach, he tended to walk all over me. In contrast, implementing timeouts where he can sit, be calm, and reflect seemed to work better. He responded positively and respected the boundaries set.

This doesn't mean I've completely abandoned gentle parenting; I believe in sprinkling it in when appropriate. It's all about finding the right balance depending on the situation and what works best for your child's personality and temperament.
