At the end of they day do whatās most comfortable for you, but I suggest trying to rack the slide by gripping the rear with your thumb, and side of your curled pointer finger. This imo allows a little less accuracy with placement of your grip while still being consistent, and it slightly reduces movement considering you donāt have to readjust the angle of your hand as much to return to follow up shots
