She's so positive after everything that she went through, so glad the baby is ok!

I never knew I was pregnant, my biggest fear when I was giving birth. When I found out I was pregnant was all the x-rays that I had because I was diagnosed with double pneumonia. I also was on some very dangerous prescribe medication for a fetus, and I gave birth to a 6 lbs. 13 oz. 20 inch long, baby boy that was exceptionally healthy only by the grace of God, with everything that I went through while carrying him, he shouldā€™ve been a basket case. I had no belly, I had no symptoms, I never knew I was pregnant until the day I was giving birth.

One of my biggest and most common fears is being pregnant and not knowing it šŸ˜¬

My dad delivered me at home in 1977 - my mum's gynae had said there was no way she could be pregnant and fitted her with a coil (which I pushed out on my way out!). Made the front page of the paper. Mum definitely thought it was surreal!

Dude medicine is crazy. My ultrasound tech at 36 weeks thought she saw a chest hernia and my doctor dismissed it thinking it was just her overreacting to a shadow. But she said,ā€we can schedule an appointment with specialists later this week just to be safeā€. I have a rare form of anemia that requires blood transfusions so I was seeing that specialist the same day anyway. They confirmed it that same day and within a week I was talking to her surgeons about her NICU stay. It was worse than they thought, but after surgery she healed within a month and is now thriving with a gimp lung. They even have a zoo day for all the NICU parents from her being in the hospital.

I have a friend who found out at 36 weeks. She was on both control and appeared to have periods still. When she went to the doctor the doctor wasn't sure what caused her sudden weight gain either. Pregnancy test didn't come up positive and the kid was hidden on the ultrasound. The doctor thought she had a tumor! They figured it out eventually but she had to go to more than one doctor.

Both of the times I gave birth were surreal, it's just a crazy situation. The first one was more surreal though because I lost a lot of blood.

Why are people so harsh and judgemental towards these women. It's so easy to Google this information before pointing fingers. I've had two kids and I can say I was experiencing a lot of symptoms similar to pregnancy symptoms as a teenager. I was even having cramps that were and still are just like labor pain. So far they say it's IBS but possibly Crohn's. I was feeling that though before I ever had a child. However I didn't even have labor pain with either child until labor was induced. Then I found out that those cramp pains were exactly like labor pain. Later on I found that gas and other things moving in my bowel feel just like a baby moving. When I was sexually active, I did pregnancy tests often because my illnesses make me have all the symptoms. I can definitely see others not knowing they are pregnant. I wish more people could be more supportive even if they doubt it is true. I personally know how awful it can be to deal with any kind of health issue while others don't believe you. It's the worst.

The EMTs/paramedics (I'm not sure which) on my ambulance opted to tell me AFTER my baby was born that that was their first one. šŸ˜‚ Everything turned out fine though. Luckily I knew I was having a baby (just really fast) and the weather was fine

I knew a lady that didnā€™t know she was pregnant. She had been taking martial arts lessons and was working towards the next belt. She thought she hurt her back at a class, went to the hospital for the severe pain and ended up having a healthy baby girl. She did say it was surreal. Lol

This happened to my cousin twice (minus the tornado), and I still donā€™t know how thatā€™s possible

I heard of this happening to someone else, they had no clue they were pregnant because they only got sick once throughout the pregnancy from some bad food. Luckily they didn't smoke or drink so the baby was fine

A friend of mine is a paramedic and he told a story about a 16 year old girl who was having stomach problems and called 911. My friend then also had to deal with the hysterical Mom who got furious when the question about possible pregnancy came up because "she's 16, what do you think?!?!"
They sent the Mom out of the room and asked again and then the girl said that she might be pregnant but she didn't know for certain. In the end, the stomach problems were caused by the commencing birth and 5 minutes later the baby was there. (The girl was so obese that you really couldn't tell)

Old Joke: I know a couple who used every possible form of birth control (except abstinence). They still got pregnant and the baby was born wearing a suit of armor.

Happened to my neighbor. One night there was an ambulance and doctors in the hall, 2 days later she came back with a stroller and a baby. And she was thin as a stick the whole time.

I've had 2 babies. My first, I found out at 5 weeks. My second, I found out at 4 weeks. Despite being very aware of my pregnancies the entire time, delivery was still very surreal for both of them.

Honestly I wish I could go through a pregnancy without knowing. I wish to have at least one more baby but Iā€™m not excited to go through pregnancy again. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. šŸ˜‚
