The sponge float is great for tight spots where ur restricted in arm movements and being able get trowel in to certain areas stopping u from flattening in the float works well there I’ve found u don’t need to b able to b studying what ur doing as such the float will do it for u just with the up and down movement then flatten it in with ur trowel
