🌎 Did you know that the #environment has already taken a part in shaping our health before we are even born?

🤰🏽 Pregnant and birthing people and their infants have an increased vulnerability to environmental threats such as extreme heat, chemicals and air pollution. To achieve healthy pregnancies, we must address environmental problems, especially because they disproportionately affect marginalized communities. It's time to prioritize the health of our mothers, babies, and the planet we all call home.

💜 The Mom and Baby Action Network is proud to share our recent report, Healthy Environment for a Healthy Start: Promoting Environmental Justice for Equitable Birth Outcomes, which was co-authored by M-BAN and partners to shed light on the racial disparities that exist in environmental health impacts. The report also underscores the urgent need for comprehensive interventions and policy initiatives. We are calling on our allies in climate, reproductive, and health justice to work together toward our shared vision that all pregnant people experience healthy pregnancies, and if they give birth, they have healthy outcomes.
