I used to be big on where/how knuckles line up. Ive learned that hand size plays a huge part in what's comfortable to a hitter. Mlb player's hands are a lot bigger than say a 5'4" female softball player's hands. What feels super awkward to someone with larger hands could be extremely comfy for someone with smalls hands. Ive found there are more important mechanics to help players with smalls hand hit well than knuckle placement. I was taught to hold the bat "in my fingers". Some player's fingers can cant wrap around the bat and have control.

I know the times are changing on hitting, but the true pure hitters lined up their door knocking knuckles
Mattingly Gwynn Brett even Ted Williams acknowledge this is the way to hold the bat.

I lined up the door knocking Knuckels. But I mostly swung with my front arm and barley held the bat with the top hand. Just used it to kind of guide the bad... I always had pretty fast bat speed and whip
