There are a couple of things that hit for me with Careless Whisper. One is just the amazing, beautiful sax melody hook, combined with George's amazing vocal. It was instantly recognizable, and just sounded epic. The mix is superb, the emotion rings through even if the lyrics are written from a young 17 y/o perspective. It is the mood it evokes that is the biggest reason for its success. The vibe is everything with this song.
