My husband had been making me a better woman for almost thirty years. Started out rocky and rough. I have encountered both. However, I am a therapist and recognized the narcissist. I made his life a living hell in such a nice subtle way. He became really angry when his plan to manipulate me didn't work.
The genuine guy takes a well rounded universal approach. I intentionally don't mention situations as he will automatically go into fixing the situation.

I was told by my current partner and mother of our beautiful 9-year-old daughter that I am a narc, a manipulator, and a gaslighter. Now, I have been researching the above and have related to narc traits, some manipulation, and no gaslighting.
I am now watching many counsellors online because I want to change and be a better man. Long story, I have childhood trauma response and issues. I was a cruel partner and stubborn. I dont like who I am, and I am "DESPERATE" to change.
This video tells me, (sorry if I seem dumb here), that a genuine guy will try to auto solve problems, and the manipulator will go all out to make himself look good but, in fact, dismiss what his partner is trying to communicate. And both are bad. I would be the problem solver. I used to think I know everything and have all tge answers and know how to fix things. I have been humbled and came to a sorry conclusion that I am the exact opposite. I dont know anything. š¢ Sorry, please re explain... someone??

I so agree with you. I've had this experience a few times. I've become experienced in spotting this in a short amount of time and walking away just as fast. I make no time for it at all.

Thank you. That is so true. I love Bob because he is getting to know me, caring for me, protecting me, making major steps to sorting his life out, makes me feel safe & secure, making me happy. We compliment each other. I too have supported him, from the get go. Both financially, & every way possible. He was ripped off financially, manipulated by several woman, physically attacked, used & abused by those women. This is the 11th time has had to start from the beginning. Bob was a multimillionaire. For him to trust, honor & respect me was a big thing. Especially coming from another woman. He knows I'm not like any of them. He's seen the way other people see my heart. He knows I'm honest & genuine. We talk for hours. We miss each other's company when we are not together. I love Bob. Everything about him makes my heart sing. He knows I will be his rock, & he mine. Thank you Io. Thank you Lord for bringing me the man I've always instinctually knew was coming. Much love & light ladies. There is a man out there for you. Just trust your instincts.

Stephan Speaks, I FINALLY broke it off and gave a list of what I wasn't getting, so he understands exactly what I wasn't getting emotionally, spirituality, etc. And of all the important things I listed, he bought flowers and ignored the rest......huh? Stephan, I thank you. Your teachings and guidance have led me to a very decent, humble, respectful man. Heās not perfect, but youāve helped me to navigate through my insecurities and be a helper to him and not a hinderance. Weāre very much still learning each other. But after a year of dating and putting in the hard work, I can honestly say we are ready for that next step.

Compulsive lying even small things is a BIG THING LADIES! Donāt forget the contradictions as well like why they want to do things a certain way and then thereās a huge contradiction why they donāt do something else pay attention to contradiction. Remember what Steve says bring them up with the person. Be careful with that too. If you bring stuff up, you might not see him do it anymore. Theyāll get better at hiding it so thatās a delicate procedure.!!!
