It took me a long time to forgive my sister. She had abused me for years. She is responsible for about 80% of my trauma. I have a multitude of phobias because of her treatment.
And just because I forgive her doesn't mean i allow her in my life. But my sister chose a life of addiction. After decades she still tries to keep me in her cycle of abuse. I always say that it took a long time to ruin a relationship it will take a long time to fix it. But ruined the rest of your life, it may take a lifetime to forgive her. Why is sis not asking forgiveness?
