I think after Harald Sigurdsonās failed conquest of England the Vikings realised that the Viking spirit that they had during their golden age was long gone. A lot of them who turned Christian didnāt really knew what it meant to be a Viking. So they started to look like other foreign Christian kingdoms.
Just like the Romans who had their prime during their paganism times. Once that faded away so did their culture, spirit and philosophies.

Those who converted to CHRISTIANITY, started killing their own kinds, blaming them as PAGANS, however all of their ancestors were worshipping the same god's Odin, Freya, Thor as Norse gods, this actually ended those who still Wants to follow their own religion, rather than converting into something else, this change was the major issue, for the end of such a wonderful, warrior race, whom everyone was feared to death,...!! Not correct! The two man causes: 1 o set of the little ice age that hit nordic countries, Greenland and North America very hard. 2: the defence war against the catholic ended when the nordic people was catholic. The fact that they inhabitated large parts of Europe efter the war was probably another reson.
