Never let him cook again.
I think I just had an aneurysm listening to this. I have seen gaming laptops. Thin and lights. Regular work laptops and all in between with AMD and Intel CPU’s. And for modern laptops AMD CPU’s not only get the same or better performance in most applications (for instance the 12700H (14 core) is the same performance or better sometimes, as a 7945HX (8 core))
At the same time, for almost every laptop I find, AMD had FARRRRR better battery life, not even an exaggeration.
I personally have a Zephyrus G16 and my sis had a ASUS TUF A15. Same size battery, same 4060 GPU and power, same software and company making it and incredibly similar specs for everything else. She has a 8945H. I got a 12700H. My battery life at 80% is like 3 hours and 40 min. Hers is like 5 hours.
And practically any testing I’ve seen has shown AMD to dominate the battery life test, and still not lose in performance unless your application heavily favours way more cores

so basically let me get this straight
intel are good for some multitasking, work, and other rendering project with good battery life but not as good as AMD when it comes to gaming performance.
while on the other side, AMD has higher performance while it being not as good for heavy applications such as rendering and having worse battery than Intel.
correct me
