Knives that aren’t full tang are often a lot stronger than people give them credit for. My hunting knife has seen a lot of batoning through it’s life, and it’s got a peened stick tang

Wow, mind blown. Had I known the tang was that small I probably wouldn’t have bought 4 of them, but after seeing how much abuse they can take for being a partial tang knife, I can’t say I regret my purchases. They make great beater knives
